When Your Muscles Have Had Enough

Muscle Injuries

Physiotherapy Session Closeup

Muscles are amazing! They allow us to move, lift, run, and everything in between. They're essentially bundles of elastic fibers that contract and relax. A muscle injury, often called a "strain" or a "tear," occurs when these fibers are stretched beyond their capacity or are subjected to a sudden, forceful contraction.

Muscle injuries can range from a Grade 1 (Mild Strain) where only a few muscle fibers are damaged to a Grade 3 (Severe Tear/Rupture) where the muscle is completely or almost completely torn.

Simply resting does not adequately prepare the muscle to return to full capacity and beyond. And people often develop compensatory patterns that may expose them to risk of secondary injuries.

Whether it's a minor strain or a more significant tear, prompt and appropriate physiotherapy intervention can make all the difference in your recovery. We'll not only help you heal but also empower you with the knowledge and tools to prevent future injuries.
